I have used both the Dimensity 8300 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors. On benchmarks, they seem relatively close, but in real-world and gaming usage, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is better and faster than the Dimensity 8300. I believe the Dimensity 8300 is closer in performance to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

For, I'll probably skip. I agree, 8300 is powerful, but let's not forget how overclocked it was. We know Xiaomi motherboards have issues, especially when it's OC. - High temperature - Optimization issues - Leading to Deadboot.

deadboot is just a thing in the past now. that's exactly the reason why hyperOS exists and besides not all xiaomi phones have deadboot issues. you're the one who has issues

From what I've seen, they are some fanatic novices. Now it so happens that the 8300 is supposedly superior to the S. Dragon 8 Gen 2 and the Dimensity 9200 Plus. And for sure, it's also deemed superior to the 8 Gen 3.

D8300 is definitely better than 7+gen2, since I compared it live, maybe in total d8300 has the same level as 7+gen3/8s gen3, since d8300 has a better gpu, although a worse cpu, but I can definitely say that d8300, 7+ gen2 and the same 7+gen3, 8s gen3 will be worse than 8 gen2, as they are weaker in terms of gpu and software limited, however, these are not flagship solutions, unlike 8gen2. But some d8400, 7+gen 4, 8s gen4 can already be better than 8 gen2, it would be logical, since the current middle peasants (antutu 10.2.5 my d8300(hyperos1.0.9.0) 1.49 million, bypasses the average result of samsung23 ultra(1.479864), realme gt5 240w(1490318), 7+gen2 antutu 10.2.5(hyperos)1.17m., but it is worth understanding that these are average indicators for devices, not maximum, and it also depends on different conditions, types of memory, cooling system, firmware so what..., that’s why it turns out like this, but if you compare only 8gen2 chipsets, it will be better, but the difference will not be as noticeable as it was before sub-flagship chipsets, this niche was relatively recent and it blurs the boundaries between average and flagship) close to 8 gen 2

How on earth did you achieve Geekbench 6 scores of 1498 and 4800 for the D8300? Can you provide any proof? Even the Ultra doesn't score that high!

The Dimensity 8300 is throttling because of Xiaomi's HyperOs. If it were still in MIUI, it would be dominating the 8 Gen 2. The issue is that the Dimensity 8300 is lacking optimization.

The top-performing processor is the 8300 Ultra. The best processor is the budget price. Offers excellent performance and value for money. This processor is in the Poco X6 Pro. The price is $29,000 (RAM: 12GB / ROM: 512GB.) It's the best budget phone.

I recently bought the Poco X6 Pro, a beast of a device that I anticipate will offer seamless performance for the next three years at least, without any sign of slowing down or lagging. If we were to compare it with an 8 Gen 2 device, I would argue that it's not a fair comparisonβ€” the Poco X6 Pro with its Dimensity 8300 Ultra is unquestionably superior.

The Dimensity 8300 is on par with the 8th Gen 2. Just imagine the potential of the Dimensity 8400; they might use Immortalis G715 or G720 to finally rival the 8th Gen 2, and be on par again with the 8th Gen 3 and the 9300.

Hey bro, I saw you on GSMArena. By the way, I think the Dimensity 8400 will suffer the same fate as the Dimensity 8200 did from the 8100. In my opinion, there's not much improvement in terms of performance and computing capabilities, only AI improvements might be visible.

LOL, it won't. It's going to use the new Mali G620. The 8000 series will continue to use the Mali G600 series, which has become considerably more powerful since the G610. In real-world testing, it's not quite on par with the 8th Gen 2, but it's fantastic for the price. It falls somewhere between the 8 Plus Gen 1 and the 8th Gen 2. The only thing holding MediaTek back is that Snapdragon is more optimized. However, this is slowly starting to change as more companies are adopting MediaTek.

Lol, Did you read it, or did you just skip it because I used the phrase "it might"? Also, if MediaTek were to use the Mali G620, they might consider discontinuing the Mali G6xx series and opt for the Mali G7xx. Moreover, they could suggest that Arm create the Mali G8xx GPU. However, all these possibilities are just conjectures and could be characterized by "might".

That’s quite basically all modern high-mid range tier chips right now. Like, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 basically rivalled SD8G1 and in some cases even the SD8+G1.

Guy, The 7+ Gen 2 can only match the CPU performance of the 8G1. However, when it comes to GPU performance, the 8 Gen 1 outperforms the 7+ Gen 2 by 20%, and even up to 30% when compared with the 8+ Gen 1. This disparity is evident, largely due to the weaker GPU of the 7+ Gen 2, as reflected in its name - Adreno 725, which is beneath the Adreno 730. According to my knowledge, the D8300 is currently the fastest mid-range chipset. While its GPU is faster than that of the 8+ Gen 1, it's still slower than the 8 Gen 2, and it supports UFS 4.0.
